ZITA WA - TULYAHIKAYO FRSA

Zita is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, a Systemic Family Constellations Facilitator; an ICF accredited trained Systemic Coach and NLP Master Practitioner. She has an international client base and over 12 years in practice, working with individuals and couples. Zita is regularly called on to give talks and run workshops.
Zita co-writes "Loving Legal Life", a wellbeing and career column for The Lawyer Magazine with James Pereira QC. Together they founded The Libra Partnership, which offers coaching for in personal and professional development for individuals and teams.

JAMES PEREIRA QC
Mentor
James is a practising barrister and coach. He was called to the bar in 1996 and took silk in 2014, and is a tenant at Francis Taylor Building, Inner Temple, London. He is the co-author of several leading text books in his field of practice, and is listed as a QC in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners Directory of the UK Bar. As a coach, he works with individuals, teams and organisations. He is an NLP Master Practitioner, a trained Organisations, Relationships and Systems Coach, a systematic constellations coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation. He co-writes a regular column in The Lawyer, "Loving Legal Life", is a regular contributor to Counsel Magazine, and speaks frequently in the field of leadership, wellbeing and performance in the legal profession. He is a co-founder of The Libra Partnership (www.thelibrapartnership.com) and a contributing author to "Lawyer health and wellbeing" (Ark Group, 2020).

SHEREECE LINTON-RAMSAY

Shereece is currently an Oxford University History student, with intentions of studying the GDL following graduation. Shereece would be grateful for any advice about the process.

ELIZABETH GODFREY-GUSH
Mentee
Elizabeth is currently working as a Cyber Security Consultant at a Professional Services firm. She is interested in changing careers, pursuing a GDL, BPTC and finally becoming a barrister. Elizabeth has 5 weeks of previous legal experience and is interested in promoting diversity and inclusion within the workplace. She is a motivated individual who has been recognised as best-in-class in a professional capacity. Elizabeth has been the chair of the Budding Bar since its inception in February 2020.

ALEXI NORRIS
Mentee
Alexi is a Law “Senior Status” student at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and History graduate from King’s College London. She is an aspiring Barrister with a keen interest in Commercial, Planning, Environment, Technology (data protection and AI) and Employment law.
She is the recipient of the BTC and GDL Queen Mother Scholarship from the Honourable Society of Middle Temple.
Alexi co-founded the Budding Bar, and manages the organisation and administration of the group.

LAUREN LE FRANC
Mentee
Lauren was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2017, is beginning pupillage this summer. She currently works on small claims matters in debt recovery. She also holds a law and business degree and is passionate about social entrepreneurship and has recently won awards such as Inspiring innovator of the Year 2018.

JODIANN GAYLE
Mentee
Jodiann is completing her BPTC exams whilst seeking pupillage in Employment, Discrimination and Human Rights Law. She is currently working as Student Disability Advisor and wants to develop expertise in equality and discrimination. Jodiann is the Founder of LEGAL>N>ABLE, a support group for persons with disability pursuing a career at the BAR.

SERENA VYAS

Serena is a BPTC graduate is seeking pupillage in a public law or a common law set (in the hope of building a mainly civil/public law practice). Serena has an interest in Environment, Planning and JR. She is currently a legal advisor for the Environmental Law Foundation and for the immigration litigation programme at her university.

UMRAH J. MAHADIK
Mentee
Umrah is completing the LLM Master of Laws England & Wales and aspires to practice Environmental and Planning law. She is also working as a Senior Policy Consultant and has been awarded multiple PhD scholarships.

BEATRICE FATUNGASE
Mentee
Beatrice has recently just graduated from the University of Kent with an upper second class in Law. She is also the recipient of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Scholarship from Middle Temple, which has allowed her to further her studies at BPP University in Holborn. Consequently, in September 2020 Beatrice will commence her LLM in Legal Practice (Bar).

AFUA NKANSAH-ASAMOAH

Afua is a first year law student. She is seeking a pupillage at Commercial, Chancery bar with an interest in Art Law and civil fraud cases. Afua is also a researcher in Colonial Era African Artefacts and a Vice President of SOAS Bar society.

TANISHA PATEL

Tanisha is currently an undergraduate at Queen Mary University of London, studying law. Near to the end of her degree she is aiming to apply for the LLM at Harvard. Following this Tanisha aims to practice at the criminal bar, and promoting diversity and inclusivity in the legal world.
